LEADING UCD EDUCATION WITHIN AN ORGANIZATION
I was hired to establish a ux practice within a small agency. During my time there, the organization pivoted from a digital agency to an experience design firm. To align the company with the ux mindset, I implemented several strategies to drive strategic user centered design thinking. The largest initiative was an 8-week program of User Centered Design that I taught to the entire company. The program included hands-on activities to motivate empathy for users and encourage design thinking.
LAUNCHING A NEW BUSINESS AND PRODUCT WITH HANES
Our client at Hanes came to us with the idea of entering the custom apparel space. For several months, I worked closely with the client project team to establish customer and system requirements for a new digital product. We also researched and collaborated on the purpose of the new brand and its strategic positioning. From there, I spent a few months creating the digital product, accommodating for future growth and expansion of the brand.
CREATING A STRATEGIC DESIGN SYSTEM FOR A CONTENT-HEAVY WEBSITE
Connections Academy wanted a website redesign to align with their new branding and also their families' needs. They needed a solution for their main site that would also work for each of their school-level websites. I established a design system for them that allowed for easy implementation and consistent design. After usability testing with prospective parents, we iterated and prepared it for development.
